TOP PAGE > The things you can learn only from the first interior design school in Japan
ICS opened its doors in 1963 as the first specialised school for “interior design”. The school's guiding principle is that “good interior design can enhance everyone's life”. The school was founded on this principle about a half-century ago, and still uses it to guide its curriculum today.
In order to create ideal living environments, the two goals of nurturing human resources required by society and the training of professionals with energy as well as theoretical ability need to be realized. In order to realize these two goals, we offer courses where students can learn a wide variety of interior design ranging from furniture to spatial design, as well as courses designed to foster the abilities required to actually construct these kinds of products. We strive to nurture creators who possess broad perspectives and the energy to be able to demonstrate their abilities in a global field.
